The Eurogene Gene+ Plus Programme (Gene+) has been established to deliver elite Irish genetics to livestock farmers. The programme allows its members exclusive access to Eurogene’s latest breeding bulls, which will provide the future foundations for sustainable, profitable farm businesses. Programme qualifiers: Membership of the programme is free and at the discretion of Eurogene. By signing up to the Eurogene Gene+ Programme, you agree to adhere to the following:

The purpose of Eurogene asserting its IP rights is to give Eurogene an opportunity to compete to buy high genetic merit offspring and their semen and not to be (a)make it more difficult for farmers to sell cattle for breeding purposes or (b) restrict the supply of high genetic merit bulls or semen to other genetics companies or farmers.

Eurogene will license IP rights to domestic and overseas genetics companies on FRAND terms and will facilitate cross licensing agreements with other companies where applicable.

• 1. Semen purchased from the Eurogene Gene+ programme may only be used to inseminate animals in your herd.2. You will not resell or otherwise dispose of Eurogene Gene+ semen to a third party.

  3. First generation male offspring of matings using semen purchased through the Eurogene Gene+ programme may be used for natural mating (stock bull) purposes only.

  4. Eurogene retain the first right of refusal to contract or purchase any first generation male or female offspring (to include oocytes & embryo) for use within the Eurogene Breeding Programme.

  5. First generation male offspring of semen purchased through the Eurogene Gene+ programme must not be used for the collection, sale or supply of semen, by you a third party to which the offspring has been transferred or sold, unless agreed through written consent by Eurogene.

  6. First generation female offspring of matings using semen purchased through the Eurogene Gene+ programme will not be used by you or a third party for the purposes of generating breeding bulls for AI, unless agreed through written consent by Eurogene.

  7. The restrictions listed in qualifiers 1-6 above apply irrespective of how you came into possession or control of the Gene+ semen or offspring.

  8. The restrictions listed in qualifiers 1-6 above will apply to any semen purchased, or first generation offspring generated, from the Eurogene Gene+ programme as long at the respective sire remains listed on the Eurogene Gene+ programme bull list.

  9. Genetic and performance information related to the dam and offspring of any semen purchased through the Eurogene Gene+ programme will be made available to Eurogene.

A list of Eurogene Gene+ bulls will be maintained and regularly updated on the Eurogene website (https://eurogene.ie). In the event that any of the above conditions are not met, you will be advised in writing that your membership of the Eurogene Gene+ programme is terminated. Eurogene reserves its right to enforce any legal rights or remedies it may have against you.

Eurogene reserves the right to terminate the Eurogene Gene+ Programme at any time by notifying its members in writing.

The Eurogene Gene+ programme qualifiers will continue to remain in force for any Eurogene Gene+ semen and offspring which may be held by a member of the Eurogene Gene+ programme at termination of their membership or termination of the Eurogene Gene+ programme.
